VisitMyrtleBeach.com Launches Redesigned Website for 2013
Enhanced website to provide better user/visitor experience with improved functionality
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Myrtle Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has announced the redesign and launch of the destination's official website, VisitMyrtleBeach.com, just before the start of the 2013 New Year. The enhanced website went live on Dec. 18, and CVB marketing officials say the new site is well designed to meet the ever-growing and ever-changing online and mobile demands of its consumers.
The Myrtle Beach Area CVB utilized Simpleview as a web partner to help with the project, and according to CVB officials, the work was centered on three main areas of improvement: facilitating a better overall user and visitor experience, maintaining and improving the position of the destination's brand, and helping increase business for community partners through more website referrals.
"It has taken many long hours and a lot of hard work to make sure we were able to meet all of our goals with the new site, but our website manager and the rest of the marketing team did a fantastic job coordinating the effort to ensure we were able to launch by the New Year," said Scott Schult, Executive Vice President of Marketing for the Myrtle Beach Area CVB, "As booking and planning travel continues to shift online, so do the focus of our online efforts. The new website will be a valuable tool to visitors planning their trip to the Myrtle Beach area, and I'm proud of the work our team has accomplished over the past several weeks."
To improve user and visitor experience, the new website features improved search and navigation and better overall functionality, both vacation and group planning management, and special deals and discounts. The new VisitMyrtleBeach.com site bears a new, up-to-date, fun and vibrant design that matches key messaging for leisure travelers and groups, and features increased social media integration, including an expansion of the Myrtle Beach area blog highlighting various area events, attractions, activities and more.
