"Spirit Airlines is getting a jump on the spring season by expanding non-stop service to many of our biggest markets, which is great news for Myrtle Beach area visitors and residents," said Brad Dean, President and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. "These earlier start dates will entice spring travelers anxious to beat the winter doldrums with a visit to the beautiful Myrtle Beach area. We have enjoyed a wonderful working relationship with Spirit for many years, and their affordable airfares have enabled millions of visitors to fly to our world-class beach and golf destination."

"Spirit's resumption of service is great news for golfers throughout the Northeast, Midwest and parts of Canada," Bill Golden, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday president, said. "Spirit will provide golfers the opportunity to escape the lingering cold in places like Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Buffalo and Detroit to enjoy Myrtle Beach's idyllic spring weather and more than 100 golf courses. We are particularly grateful for the decision to resume service earlier and increase the number of flights from Baltimore and Pittsburgh, which is a testament to the strength of Myrtle Beach in those markets."

"Horry County Department of Airports is excited that Spirit Airlines continues to show confidence in the strength of the marketplace by expanding service at Myrtle Beach International Airport," said Pat Apone, interim director of airports.  "The expanded seasonal service to the area's top tier markets will be well received by passengers wanting to travel to and from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina."
