Multi-media performance event set to visit Myrtle Beach area from January 6-8, 2017

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (December 7, 2016) – The beautiful coastal town of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, will host the highly successful, nationally acclaimed ELVIS LIVES® Tour at the Legends in Concert theatre, from January 6-8, 2017, with two live performances each day. The multi-media live musical is a co-production of On Stage Touring’s Legends in Concert division and producing partner Elvis Presley’s Graceland®.

ELVIS LIVES is a journey across Elvis’ life featuring winners and finalists from Elvis Presley Enterprise’s (EPE) annual worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest™, each representing Elvis during different stages in his career. As a co-producer of the tour, Graceland is providing rarely seen restored video and photo assets from its Graceland Archives to enhance the production.

“Myrtle Beach is proud to host such a prestigious and exciting show as ELVIS LIVES,” said Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB. “Our area has long been known for its theatrical and musical experiences, and we’re excited to add this significant event to that list. We’re sure those attending the performances in Myrtle Beach will find much to explore in our beautiful area while they visit.”

The partnership between Legends in Concert and Graceland provides the only authentic touring showcase of Elvis tribute artists for fans who want to experience the music and live performance charisma of one of the most popular and beloved recording artists in history. The thriving production showcases each performer portraying Elvis in one of four eras: the 1950s, 1960s, his movie career and his concert years.

“Fans looking for a unique and complete musical experience will relish in the Elvis Lives show,” said Christine Beattie, regional general manager of Legends in Concert Myrtle Beach. “These performances are packed with more than just his music, but also details on the man Elvis and how music shaped his life. Even with six opportunities to catch the show in Myrtle Beach, there’s not bound to be an empty seat.”

The ELVIS LIVES Tour will perform at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. each day from January 6-8. To purchase tickets for the Myrtle Beach shows, visit For more information on accommodations and attractions in the Myrtle Beach area go to
