Official UNC Athletics site partners with Myrtle Beach area to giveaway 50 vacations

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Visit Myrtle Beach is pleased to announce that Tar Heel Sports Properties and the University of North Carolina Athletics, has named Myrtle Beach, S.C., an official partner of the Tar Heels. The partnership is multi-faceted including promotion via, the official website for UNC Athletics. Over 4 million North Carolinians visited the Myrtle Beach area last year, helping make the destination a perfect fit for UNC Tar Heel fans.

"We're extremely pleased to be partnered with the Myrtle Beach Convention and Visitor's Bureau and we're very excited to be giving away 50 fantastic 4 day-3 night vacations to Tar Heel fans via, " said Gary Sobba, Tar Heel Sports Properties General Manager. The Myrtle Beach area, popularly known as the Grand Strand, does offer a vacation to fit any need, tourism officials say. Whether looking for a fisherman's retreat, a last minute golf getaway, or a fall family vacation, guests will find it along the area's trademark 60 miles of picture-perfect coastline, perhaps on one of the area's 100 championship golf courses or in one of the area's thousands of restaurants and attractions.

Though still in preliminary planning stages, one additional aspect of this marketing partnership is that will offer exclusive advertising opportunities to local businesses along the Grand Strand.
