MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - This fall, the Myrtle Beach area is bringing back two family favorites: the 11th Annual Little River ShrimpFest and the 36th Annual Loris Bog-Off.

The Little River ShrimpFest will take place 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 and 9 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Little River Historic Waterfront. As a small fishing community known for its deep-sea fishing, charter boats and savory shrimp, the Little River ShrimpFest presents the perfect opportunity to take in the sights of the quaint community, sounds of local jazz bands and tastes of local shrimp. The town of Loris, located just north of Myrtle Beach, will celebrate the 36th anniversary of the Loris Bog-Off, starting Oct. 12 through Oct. 17. The week of activities will include a free movie night, annual game night and spaghetti dinner, a festival, and of course, the popular Bog-Off where attendees can submit their best chicken bog recipes to be judged by a panel of bog experts.
