Grand Strand Brewing Flight
1. Grand Strand Brewing Company

Fun, friendly and just a stone's throw from the beach, boardwalk and downtown strip. GSB is known for a great selection of brews including like Wingtip Pilsner, Airbrush Hazy IPA, Sandy Cheeks IPA. They also have fun options like Conway Coffee Ale, Jolene Red and Atalaya Imperial Stout. GSB also does its burgers right — start with two smashed beef patties, topped with pickles, American cheese, sauteed onion and a special recipe Keg Sauce. Go enjoy all this downtown brewery has to offer.

44 & King Food
2. 44 & King

A great upscale pub atmosphere serving Southern comfort food with a creative twist. They have a seasonal rotating taps offering brews from all over South Carolina and serve up great options like flights of craft brews, flights of whiskey and some tasty charcuterie boards. There's also a patio with games and a uniquely elevated outdoor area.

3. Tidal Creek Brewhouse

Tidal Creek is one of the area's best local breweries and truly does it all. Not only do they have more than a dozen taps filled with handcrafted brews spanning every style from Pilsners, Ales and Lagers to Porters, Stouts and Sours — they even brew their own house Seltzer — they also have amazing food all day, great coffee and tons of things going on. There's tons to choose from, but we'd suggest trying their popular Brunch and sampling a Libertore Italian Pilsner, named after the brewery's owner.

Atlas Tap House Beer
4. Atlas Tap House

Perhaps the best selection of brews on The Beach belongs to this little downtown oasis. Just blocks from the strip, Atlas lives inside a historic Myrtle Beach building that's been many things over the years but has established itself as a beer lover's paradise for the past decade.  With 25 rotating taps and a super knowledgeable staff, Atlas is the type of place where you can walk in, ask the bartender for a recommendation and trust that you'll be getting something great, and likely a unique local or regional craft brew. This spot also has great smoked chicken wings, barbecue, and burgers worth checking out.

local's fav Dagwood's Deli & Bumsteads Pub
5. Dagwood's & Bumstead's Pub

Located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, Bumstead's Pub is a long-running establishment known as much for its selection of more than 150 craft beers from all over the world as it is for delicious deli sandwiches stacked high at the adjoining Dagwood's Deli. Over the years, this "local's favorite" spot has expanded with locations in Surfside Beach and North Myrtle Beach that are part sports bar, part craft brew bar, part deli and all parts equally awesome for locals and visitors alike.

6. Crooked Hammock Brewery

If you're looking for a craft brew spot that also screams "Beach" this laid-back beer Mecca at Barefoot Landing is for you. It's a massive facility with a restaurant, taproom, island bar and big backyard, that also crafts some of the best brews in the area. With fun selections like South to Somwhere coconut Ale, Myrtle Beach Wheat Ale and Beach Escape Session IPA, you're sure to find something you like here and we just about guarantee you'll have a good time doing it.

Grumpy Monk Broadway
7. Grumpy Monk & Sneaky Beagle

If you're looking for unique craft beer experiences paired with awesome food in Myrtle Beach, look no further than Grumpy Monk. There are four locations in all, with Grumpy Monks at Broadway at the Beach, in North Myrtle Beach and at U.S. 501 near Tanger Outlets, as well as a sister restaurant called Sneaky Beagle in Carolina Forest. All these spaces offer unique experiences, but carry a similar vibe that mixes a upscale bar feel with a great family dining experience that includes an expansive menu spanning from sushi and salads to burgers and beers. Check out the especially pet-friendly Sneaky Beagle, enjoy the waterfront views of the Broadway location or catch a game at the full-on sporty North Myrtle Beach location.

8. The Boathouse & Independent Republic Brewing

Known to most as one of the best waterfront hangouts in Myrtle Beach, The Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill has become a local's favorite thanks to it's great backyard, free concerts and a love of craft brews. In fact, the Boathouse crew got so into the craft beer scene that in 2019 they decided to open their own brewery called Independent Republic Brewing Company, which now supplements the bar's already impressive selection of local and regional beers on tap.

Bonfire Beers & Food
9. Downtown Conway

Located about 20 minutes inland from The Beach, you'll find the quaint historic rivertown of Conway, S.C., known for it's array of unique downtown shopping options, a thriving arts & mural scene and several great stops for craft brews. Make a day out of exploring downtown and hop from long-running spots like The Crafty Rooster — one of the area's original craft brew centric bars with an amazing selection — as well as newer additions like Hop N Wich, a great spot for sandwiches and craft brews. Then walk the riverwalk and stop by Bonfire, a unique southern BBQ restaurant that serves up several local and regional selections across it's taps.

Pawleys Tap & Pour
10. Pawleys Tap & Pour

Located south in the charming town of Pawleys Island, this unique spot is a hidden gem for craft beer enthusiasts. Of course there's a great rotating selection of carefully curated beers on tap, including local and regional brews, but the real fun of this place is in the Beer Wall. Here, you can simply check-in to start your tab, get your RFID bracelet and then choose from 40 different types of beer offered up at self-serve taps along the wall.
