Top 10 Activities For Less Than $25

Before you do anything, pick-up some brochures and coupons at our visitor information locations in the Myrtle Beach area. The main visitor information location is located on 1200 N. Oak St. Myrtle Beach, SC. Visitor Centers can also be found at the airport welcome center at 1100 Jetport Rd, Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet on 3401 U.S. 17 Business S. There are a couple of different coupon books that you can pick up at your hotel as well, (one is called Monster Coupon Book and the other is Strand). The coupon books have discounts for almost everything you may want to do in Myrtle Beach - dining, shopping, attractions, etc. Coupons are also online on the official visitor website at www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/coupons. They could save you money!

    1. Miniature Golf
    Known as the mini golf capital of the world, there are over fifty themed miniature golf courses along The Myrtle Beach Area with excitement at every hole. Full price adult tickets generally average around $8 and $6 for kids.
    Tip:
     Check the local coupon books and find coupons for a dollar or two off if you hit the course at the discounted hours. Children 2 and under are free at most establishments.

    2. Shelling at Myrtle Beach State Park 
    Awesome shells, shark teeth, and more await you at this local favorite. Enjoy a wide beach, nature trails a fishing pier and more for a $5 per person park admission fee or less. Pack a picnic, beach pail and shovel. The State Park also offers free children's programs throughout the year.

    3. Souvenir Shopping at Hudson's Surfside Flea Market 
    Located at 1040 South Kings Highway in Surfside Beach: Over 250 dealers make this a popular choice for both new and used merchandise. Find Myrtle Beach souvenirs including t-shirts, hats and more at some of the lowest prices on The Grand Strand. Open Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 7 a.m. until dark.

    4. Shopping
    Many stores on Ocean Boulevard offer the best of the beach, from $5 sunglasses, beautiful purses, stunning dresses, tropical wear, souvenirs, $10 painted t-shirts, to family portraits and temporary tattoos. After you're done shopping, relax at some of the most preferred oceanfront pubs and restaurant along the boardwalk.

    5. Helicopter Rides
    Only $20 and you will be on top of Myrtle Beach. The aircraft are maintained to the highest FAA standards, and the pilots are commercially rated with many years of military and civilian experience. All you need is your cool sunglasses and a friend to scare off once the helicopter takes off and enjoy the beauty of Myrtle Beach.

    6. Affordable Motels
    When you finally manage to lazily drag yourself off the sand, Myrtle Beach has some of the most beautiful motels where you can shower and rest. They could range from $25 to $45 per night. Imagine, waking up to sun and surf, stepping out the door to feel sand, instead of cement. And when you're hungry, tired, or forgot the suntan lotion, relief is just a few yards away.

    7. Movies at Carmike Cinema
    Head to the southeast end of Broadway at the Beach for a summer blockbuster matinee. The price ranges from $5.00 to $8, depending on what time you decide to watch a movie.

    8. Family Kingdom
    Enjoy screams, dreams, and flying machines when you get an all-day wrist band at Family Kingdom's Amusement Park for only $25.95. Print out our coupon on this site for $3 off.     9. Adrenaline
    The Slingshot ride, located at 1201 N. on Ocean Boulevard welcomes all the tough ones for a ride. The Slingshot Ride operates as a backwards bungee jump and catapults people into the air at heights that will reach up to 180 feet. It will bounce you up and down and upside down and it will give you a beautiful view of the Atlantic Coast and Myrtle Beach. Only $25.

    10. Brookgreen Gardens
    Every day Brookgreen offers a selection of tours, programs, excursions, and exhibits for all ages.  Stroll through the gardens on a guided tour or explore these beautiful spaces on your own. Walk the Lowcountry Trail and experience some of the area's history; then it's on to the Zoo with native animals in their natural habitats.  Beautiful gardens, rich historical sites, world-renowned art collection, amazing animals, and gracious southern hospitality tempt you to return again and again, which is one of the reasons the admission is good for seven consecutive days.  Brookgreen Gardens is located at 1931 Brookgreen Drive, Murrells Inlet, SC, on Highway 17 between Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island. Admission tickets are valid for seven consecutive days and children 3 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult. The prices range from $14 for adults, $12 for seniors 65 and over, and only $7 for kids 6 to 12 years old.

      11. Wine Anyone? 
      La Belle Amie Vineyard is an operating vineyard open to the public located in the Grand Strand area. The Vineyard is a popular attraction for visitors to our wonderful beaches and hosts many popular festivals throughout the year. Vineyard guests are invited into the wine tasting room to sample the private label wines and a variety of gourmet foods. Have five sample wines for only $5 and don't waste another minute.

      12. Myrtle Beach Pelicans Baseball
      Peanuts and baseball anyone? Myrtle Beach's very own minor league baseball team and affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans is an affordable and fun way to spend a spring and summer evening. Tickets start at only $8.00 and once you get in the gates, something special is always happening at the ballpark. There's a kids zone play area on the grounds as well as fantastic fireworks shows at the end of some home games, and free promotions and giveaways.
