Alabama Theatre: The South's Grandest Christmas Show
Voted Myrtle Beach's #1 Holiday Show, the Alabama Theatre presents The South's Grandest Christmas Show, opening Friday, November 2, 2012, and running through the holiday season with a special New Year's Eve performance. An annual family Christmas tradition, this year's Christmas Show promises to surpass all expectations. The show will combine traditional classics with contemporary holiday favorites, all surrounded by big production numbers. Atlantic Stage: Holiday Memories By Truman Capote
Atlantic Stage, the only non-profit professional theatre in the Myrtle Beach area, presents Holiday Memories. A series of short stories by Truman Capote adapted for the stage by Russell Vandenbroucke, the largely autobiographical story takes place in the 1930s and describes a period in the lives of the seven-year-old narrator and an elderly woman who is his distant cousin and best friend. The evocative narrative focuses on country life, friendship, and the joy of giving during the Christmas season, and gently yet poignantly touches on loneliness and loss. Patrons are invited to an After-Words on the first and second Sunday matinee performances, where they'll have the opportunity to talk with the actors. Barefoot Princess Riverboat: Christmas Regatta Cruise
Cruise on the Barefoot Princess and be part of the Grand Strand's Intracoastal Christmas Regatta. On Sat., November 24, 2012, passengers will enjoy a two-hour cruise, with a deli and hors d'oeuvres spread and onboard entertainment while viewing all the boat entries during this annual event. Barefoot Princess Riverboat: Christmas Dinner Cruise
On Sat., December 8, 2012, enjoy a two-hour Christmas Dinner Cruise with special onboard entertainment, a buffet dinner and view the Christmas lights on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Broadway at the Beach: 18th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting
Kick off the season at Broadway at the Beach for the 18th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Sat., November 17, 2012. Start the day with the Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run/Walk®, where you can run or walk a five-kilometer route with team members and celebrate the season by giving and helping others. Then, at 6 p.m., enjoy holiday performances by some of the area's greatest talent, all leading up to the lighting of the star of the show: the Holiday Tree. Brookgreen Gardens: Holiday Exhibitions' Signs of the Season in Art & History; Signs of the Season in Flora & Fauna
Join us at Brookgreen Gardens for two indoor holiday displays of evergreen trees, wreaths and plaques decorated with assorted natural materials as well as an assortment of vintage carousel animal figures and antique and vintage toys, including dolls, erector sets, wind-up toys, wooden building blocks, model cars, tin and lead soldiers, pedal cars, and an expanded display of Lionel, Bachmann, and American Flyer electric trains and train paraphernalia. In addition, there will be Christmas trees with period ornaments from the 1890s to the 1960s and other special holiday decorations. Brookgreen Gardens: Nights of a Thousand Candles
Brookgreen Gardens will come to life amid the soft glow of more than 5,500 hand-lit candles and countless sparkling lights from 3 to 10 p.m. on December 7-8, 14-15 and 20-22. Dysfunctional is the new functional! Legends in Concert: Legends In Concert Holiday Show "Rock Your Holidays!"

Myrtle Beach State Park: Santa at the Beach!
Escape the holiday stress and spend the day in the great outdoors! On December 1, 2012, enjoy some holiday fun atMyrtle Beach State Park, where Santa Claus will be on the beach, making his list and checking it twice! Pirates Voyage: Christmas at Pirates Voyage
Christmas at Pirates Voyage takes guests on a voyage with Captain Scrooge and the mystical Spirit of Christmas as they travel to the past, through the present, to the future of Buccaneer Bay. From November 2 through December 31, 2012, families will thrill as the colorful Christmas toys come to life before their eyes, performing amazing acrobatics high overhead. The fast-paced show is topped off with a four-course holiday feast, featuring Buccaneer bread, a roasted half chicken, barbecued pork, corn on the cob, mashed and flogged taters, and apple o' eye pie. A truly awe-inspiring live Nativity, complete with wise men and live animals that seem to magically walk across the lagoon, convinces Scrooge to mend his ways and let all the pirates compete for the Christmas treasure. The Belle W. Baruch Foundation/Hobcaw Barony: Hike Hobcaw: The Woods at Thanksgiving
Native American tribes walked the trails at Hobcaw and hunted deer, turkey and bear. Travel those same ancient paths along a 2.5-mile walk down an original portion of Kings Highway through a longleaf pine ecosystem. On November 14, 2012, see evidence of early settlers' success at processing lumber, pitch and tar for shipbuilding, and learn how the forest is reclaimed for use by endangered or invasive species. The Belle W. Baruch Foundation/Hobcaw Barony: Hike Hobcaw: A Plantation Christmas
Cedar, yaupon holly, Spanish moss, pine and even mistletoe are symbols of Christmas at Hobcaw. Drive out to the edge of the marsh on December 13, 2012, to enjoy a 2.5-mile hike to Clambank Landing, studying favorite greenery gathered at Christmas by former Hobcaw residents. Imagine the thousands of ducks that once overwintered in the marshes of the lowcountry, travel through Friendfield Village and hear how Christmas in the Quarters was celebrated, then travel down to Hobcaw House to see the bluff as we share stories of Christmas past. Brookgreen Gardens: New Year's Eve 'Garden by Candlelight'
Begin your New Year's Eve celebration at Brookgreen Gardens from 6 to 9 p.m. on December 31, 2012, with strolling musicians, hand-lit candles and holiday lights.
