Rules and Regulations
"Visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina" Sweepstake contest is being held by CAA-Quebec Travel (the "contest organizers"). It is being held in the Province of Quebec from 12:01 a.m. on April 1, 2014, to 11:59 p.m. on October 31, 2014 (the "duration").
This contest is open to Quebec residents aged 21 years and over, excluding employees of CAA-Quebec and its subsidiaries, suppliers of products and services related to this contest, members of their immediate families (brothers, sisters, children, parents), their legal spouses or common-law partners, and anyone with whom such employees, agents and representatives are domiciled.
2. HOW TO ENTER
To enter this contest:
You can enter to WIN at Trip for Two to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina by visiting the following website: www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/caasweepstake anytime between April 1, 2014, and October 31, 2014. Limit one (1) entry per person. All entries on the entry form must be completed as indicated. No purchase required.
The contest organizers and their representatives reserve the right to disqualify any person or to cancel one or more entries from any person who enters or tries to enter this contest by means that contravene these regulations or that could be unfair to other contestants (for example, by submitting more than one entry, by engaging in computer hacking, etc.). The contest organizers and their representatives also reserve the right to disqualify any entry recorded in the Myrtle Beach Area Convention & Visitors/Chamber of Commerce computer system if the requirements are not met as specified. The entry forms will be drawn at random electronically on November 3, 2014. Any entry that is checked and found not to meet the above criteria will be rejected. Another entry will then be drawn at random to replace the rejected entry.
The contest organizers and their employees, agents and representatives assume no liability for the malfunctioning of any computer component, software or communications link related to the loss or absence of a communications network or any faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible or deleted transmission by any computer or network and preventing or limiting any person's ability to enter the contest. Everyone who enters or tries to enter this contest releases the contest organizers, as well as their employees, agents and representatives, from any damages incurred as a result of entering or trying to enter the contest.
The trip prize consists of the following inclusions:
Two airline passes sponsored by Spirit Airlines from Plattsburgh, NY to Myrtle Beach, SC
Six days/five nights for two (double accommodation) sponsored by the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort
Attraction admission tickets for two adults to Ripley's Aquarium, Brookgreen Gardens, WonderWorks, and the SkyWheel
Theatre tickets for two adults to Carolina Opry, Alabama Theatre, Legends in Concert and the Palace Theatre
The prize must be accepted as described in these rules and regulations. It may not be substituted for any other prize or exchanged, in whole or in part, for cash, and nor may it be transferred to a third party.
The prize blackout dates include all Canadian and US holidays, special events in the Myrtle Beach area, as well as June 14 to August 22, 2015.
In the event that the prize cannot be awarded as described in these rules and regulations, the contest organizers reserve the right to award a prize of the same nature and of equivalent value. Unless indicated otherwise in the prize confirmation letter, the prize (or the replacement product) must be used not later than October 31, 2015, the date on which its validity period ends.
In no case can the contest organizers, their suppliers of products or services related to this contest, or their employees, agents or representatives be obliged to award a greater number of prizes than indicated in these rules and regulations, and nor can they be held responsible in case of loss, theft or misuse of the prize.
The winner releases the contest organizers and their subsidiaries, employees, agents and representatives of all liability for any damages they may incur as a result of accepting or using the prize.
4. CONTEST DRAW
One (1) electronic random draw will be held at 12 p.m. on November 3, 2014, at 197 Arichat Road, Oakville, Ontario, L6J 5N5, among contestants entered, in keeping with these rules and regulations.
5. AWARDING OF PRIZES
To be declared a winner, a selected contestant must be able to be reached by telephone and/or by email by the contest organizers within ten (10) days of the draw, and correctly answer the following skill-testing mathematical question:
60 + 10 - (8 x 2) = ____________
that will be shown on the statement and waiver of liability form. This form, which will be sent to the winner by the contest organizers, must be filled out and signed by the winner and returned to the contest organizers within ten (10) working days of the winner receiving it. Within fifteen (15) days of the contest organizers receiving the duly completed form, the official in charge of this contest at the Myrtle Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Canadian Office, in Oakville, Ontario will contact the winner to determine with him/her how to take possession of the price within the next fifteen (15) days.
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS
There will be no communication with the contestants regarding this contest except with the winners. Failure by a selected contestant to meet any condition set out in these rules and regulations, or refusal of the prize, will lead to the contestant's disqualification. Should this occur, a new draw will be held to award the prize, in keeping with these rules and regulations, until a contestant has been selected and declared a winner. In the event that no winner has been declared within sixty (60) days of the draw, the contest organizers may, at their discretion, cancel the prize.
The contest organizers reserve the right, at their full discretion, to cancel, terminate, change or suspend this contest in whole or in part should any event or human act corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or running of the contest as set out herein, with the whole being subject to approval from the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required.
The contest rules and regulations are available at all CAA-Quebec Travel service centres, on the CAA-Quebec website at www.caaquebec.com/voyage as well as at the head office of CAA-Quebec Travel, 444 Bouvier Street, Quebec City, QC G2J 1E3, and on the Sweepstake entry website hosted by the Myrtle Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
All decisions by the contest organizers or their representatives regarding this contest are final and without appeal, subject to any ruling by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec on any issue over which it has jurisdiction.
Disputes over the organization or running of a promotional contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Disputes over the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie for the sole purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
