Atlantic Stage presents A Christmas Story, humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s. The play follows 9 year old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryper BB gun under the tree for Christmas. The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out.” You’ll recognize all your favorite scenes and characters from the beloved motion picture. Santa will be onsite for free photos, local school choruses will perform holiday music throughout the day, and holiday refreshments will be offered.
