Look Who's Back adapts the 2012 German novel Erist wieder da to the big screen. Part-mockumentary, part-deadpan comedy, the story follows the paranormal reappearance of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler in contemporary Germany and his subsequent rise as a modern media star. It raises questions about whether or not it is acceptable to laugh about Hitler and about the appeal of neo-fascism in Germany, and elsewhere, today. Anastasiya Shchebet, lecturer of German, and Amanda Brian, associate professor of history, will provide context and discussion about these topics after the film. The film will take place on October 25th at 5pm in The Coastal Theater of Lib Jackson Studio Union at Coastal Carolina University.
