In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the South Carolina Arts Commission (SCAC), the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum is highlighting one of the SCAC’s fellow artists, Jocelyn Châteauvert, with one of her extraordinary site-specific installation projects, Jocelyn Châteauvert: It Bloomed at Night. Châteauvert transforms our Reception Gallery from its original state into a wonderland of beauty, light and fantasy. Iowa-born Châteauvert currently resides in Charleston, SC, where she devotes herself to the art of handmade papermaking. Open at the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach, SC from Sept. 28 through Dec. 14, 2017. Free admission everyday; Tues. through Sat. 10am-4pm, Sun. 1-4pm.
