The summer season officially kicks off in Myrtle Beach with the return of the Sun Fun Festival June 2 and 3 in Plyler Park. The Oceanfront Merchants Association invites you to join us for a free family-friendly Friday and Saturday at the beach, in Plyler Park, and on the Boardwalk. This year’s festival is highlighted by games and activities, appearances by the Coca-Cola Beach Crew, performances by Too Much Sylvia, the Swingin’ Medallions, the Golden Knights Army Parachute Team, and the Sand Lovers professional sand sculpting team, as well as the return of the Sun Fun Parade.
“Sun Fun is a Myrtle Beach tradition for so many people across the Southeast,” said Buz Plyler of the Gay Dolphin Gift Cove, presenting sponsor of this year’s Sun Fun Festival. “We are so thankful to be allowed to bring a little bit of that ‘old Myrtle Beach nostalgia’ to the beautiful new Oceanfront Boardwalk.”
