As the month of December draws closer, Springmaid Beach Resort is counting down the days until its first Military Dream Wedding Giveaway!  The contest, which was announced in March, received applications from men and women serving in the Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, Navy and Coast Guard.

The lucky winners, United States Marine Corps Sgt. Wayne Edmiston of Wyoming, Pennsylvania and his fiancée Brooke Chartlet of Norwalk, Iowa will receive the military wedding of their dreams in just a few short weeks.  On December 7, 2012 Springmaid Beach Resort will host 100 of the couple’s friends and family for a romantic beach wedding and oceanfront ballroom reception.

Their winning YouTube video shows the tale of a United States Marine Corps Warrior deployed twice during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and how he found his true love when transferred to a Recruiting Station in Des Moines, Iowa. The runners-up, Nathanial Rocha and Airman First Class Lydia Seibert, were awarded a weekend getaway to Springmaid Beach Resort along with a deluxe breakfast for two.

The all-inclusive venue at Springmaid Beach Resort, now Doubletree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront, will provide the location for the beach ceremony, as well as a newly renovated oceanfront ballroom for the reception to include award-winning catering, ocean view designer accommodations, and deluxe breakfast for the bride and groom.
