Renovations around the Myrtle Beach area has been the theme here lately on this blog.
Yesterday, we talked to you about the renovated Burroughs School building, and how it's now home to the Horry County Museum.
Today, we're celebrating Springmaid Beach Resort and Conference Center's recognition by ConventionSouth - a national multimedia resource for planning events held in the South - with a 2014 Top New or Renovated Meeting Site Award.
As part of the recognition, Springmaid Beach Resort and Conference Center will be featured as an award recipient in the December 2013 issue of ConventionSouth magazine, according to a press release. They were one of only 50 meeting sites in the south selected.
Donald Hovis, marketing manager for Springmaid Beach, said their efforts to renovate and provide people with the best facilities possible aren't done to receive awards, but it was an honor to be recognized.
"It's good to see that we're getting recognized for taking that next step and bettering ourselves," he said.
Congratulations to Springmaid Beach Resort and Conference Center for this fantastic achievement, and for all the success you're going to see down the road!
