We love barbecue! From fall-off-the-bone ribs to delectable pulled pork, we could eat it every day and be quite content.

That’s why we are gearing up once again for a Labor Day blowout here in the Myrtle Beach area which stars one of our culinary treasures.

The 10th Annual Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival returns Sept. 4 and Sept. 5, 2015 to the Horry Georgetown Technical College Conference Center on the Grand Strand campus near Grand Park at The Market Common. Admission is free to this Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event.

It runs from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, and 12 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5.

Barbecue sampling is returning by popular demand from 12 to 3 p.m. on that Saturday. Ten dollars gets you a wristband that is good for unlimited sampling!

Those samples are coming from the local and regional cook teams who will be competing for over $9,500 in cash prizes. There is still time to register your team, as the deadline is Aug. 28.

We can already smell the chicken!
