Looking for something great for the kids that doesn’t involve a lot of planning? Look no further than the Children’s Museum of South Carolina!

From its humble beginnings in a 1,200-foot retail space in a local mall to the nearly 9,000 square-foot building it occupies today, this Myrtle Beach area treasure has been offering interactive, fun and educational options to children and their families for two decades.

Their exhibits include a pirate adventure where children dress up and learn about the historical scallywags of the Carolinas, an investigation into electricity and a kids’ medical center that allows them to role play as various medical professionals while learning how the human body works.

Being a South Carolina museum tailored to children, the youngsters can also learn about snakes, shells and habitats while learning important facts about the Palmetto State.

It’s definitely for the young, and the young at heart!
