We never stop learning. It's a fact of life. And here in the Myrtle Beach area, we've got a place that makes learning fun for not only children, but for mom and dad as well.

The Children's Museum of South Carolina is celebrating its 20th year in 2014. From its humble beginnings in a 1,200-square-foot retail space in a local mall to the nearly 9,000 square-foot building it occupies today, this local treasure has been offering interactive, fun and educational options to children and their families for two decades.

Exhibits include a pirate adventure where children dress up and learn about the historical scallywags of the Carolinas, an investigation into electricity, and an interactive kids' medical center that provides a glimpse into how the human body works. Visitors can also learn about snakes, shells and habitats while learning important facts about the Palmetto State.
