Learn How to Garden with Confidence at Diggin It Spring Garden Festival

Saturday, March 23

Passionate gardeners and those who just like to occasionally play in the dirt will find
something useful and interesting at this year's spring garden festival.  With this year's Garden Festival, Brookgreen Gardens offers something new each year for guests of all ages to experience gardening as a unique and fun learning adventure.

This year's event will feature horticulture expert, author, and speaker, Helen Yoest.  As a award winning lifestyle garden writer, Helen's work has appeared in Better Homes and Gardens, Country Gardens, Martha Stewart Living, Fine Gardening, Carolina Gardening, Triangle Gardener, and is the author of a new book, Gardening withConfidence.  As a lifelong outdoor enthusiast, Helen says she, "Would much rather spend a day in a garden than anywhere indoors."

Information booths from the Native Plant Socity, Master Gardeners, and many other will be open all day, including an area set aside where you can "Build Your Own Terrarium."

New this year will be two "Propagation Workshops" in the greenhouse.  Advance registration is required for the workshops, with space limited for the morning and the afternoon sessions.
