First and foremost, it's moved out of its more modest home in a former Conway post office and into much larger accommodations at the old Burroughs School. The building was built in three different phases between 1905 and 1923, and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In addition to these beautiful new surroundings, the museum has also received some fantastic upgrades. One is a phenomenal spiral staircase.
The other is even more exciting and will be featured in a reality show set to air this September on Animal Planet.
A fresh water aquarium was installed near the staircase. The producers of "Tanked," which follows the exploits of two brothers-in-law who run a large aquarium manufacturing company, decided to feature the installation process and filmed the work this spring.
We've seen the finished product, and it's outstanding. This aquarium is a sight to be seen, and it's great that it will receive national attention.
Come see what all the fuss will soon be about.
