The Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine and Spirits Festival is back in a big way here in 2014.

And for that, our stomach and taste buds are thankful.

The week-long celebration of all things savory, sweet and delicious in the Myrtle Beach area kicked off June 2 with the first of four themed dinners at Castano’s Italian Steakhouse. And just what was that theme, you might be asking? It was bourbon.

June 3 saw guests enjoy a tequila-themed meal at Abuelo’s, while the menu for June 4’s dinner at Damon’s Grill centered around a Lowcountry boil.

Why yes, we know what you’re thinking; what is new this year?

Well, do you like craft beer? Of course you do! That’s why we can’t wait for June 6’s Brews ‘N The Boulevard Craft Beer Event at Plyler Park from 5 to 9 p.m.  A wealth of ales and IPAs from across the country will be there for sampling.

Plus, with the Atlantic Ocean right there, this is one happy hour you don’t want to miss.

On June 7, the popular Tasting Trolley is back from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This unique tasting experience shuttles participants to seven different stops for a featured food and drink.

This year’s stops are: Island Vista Resort; Caribbean Resort; Second Avenue Pier; Breakers Resort; New South Brewery; Springmaid Beach Resort; and Damon’s Grill.

The final stop is Plyler Park for the Grand Tasting Tent Event.

Then, there is one final Coastal Uncorked event on June 8, a wine dinner at Croissants Bistro and Bakery.

Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Be a part of the fun. Tickets are still available so don’t wait a moment longer.

And happy eating!
