The countdown is on for the Great American Eclipse of 2017!  For the first time in nearly 100 years, a total solar eclipse will sweep the width of United States, including South Carolina. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime celestial event happening on August 21st, 2017. Good news is that you can see the total eclipse in the southern portion of the Grand Strand, including Pawleys Island and Georgetown, while you can see a 99% partial eclipse in the rest of the Grand Strand. The eclipse will start around 1:18 p.m. peak at 2:47 p.m. and end at 4:09 p.m, depending on where you're viewing.
