Most people don't think of the southeast when they hear "wine country," but we happen to know of a little spot right here in the Myrtle Beach area that is holding its own.

LaBelle Amie Vineyard stemmed from one family's love of wine making, which started in the south of France and it continues today in Myrtle Beach. The vineyard boasts four large vine arbors, two of which are more than 100 years old, while the others are roughly 80 years old. The grapes from these vines are used to make the preserves sold at LaBelle Amie's gift shop.

The wine produced at LaBelle Amie is called Twisted Sisters, and features everything from a full-bodied cabernet to a southern sweet white wine. The wines have creative and spunky names, such as "The Ice Queen," "Sweet Carolina Girl" and "Bless Her Heart," just to name a few.

Your journey really isn't complete until you take a stop at LaBelle Amie. Cheers!
