Tea is as southern a staple as any, so why not enjoy yours in the home that once belonged to one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence?

The Hopsewee Plantation in the Myrtle Beach area was the former residence of Thomas Lynch, a delegate to the Commons House of Assembly from Prince George.

He and his son, Thomas Lynch Jr., made history as the only father and son team to serve the Continental Congress. The younger Lynch would make history again as the 52nd signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Today, this beautiful plantation is available for tours and for sitting while sipping that tea and admiring the property.

So, how do you take your tea?
