Covering an acre of water, the aqua park can hold up to 120 people per hour. It’s the place to be to jump, play and climb this summer. The Aqua Park is the newest addition to Shark Wake Park and marks the completion of the park since it opened one year ago. Shark Wake Park will celebrate with a “ Welcome Back Summer Party ” on Saturday, June 3rd from Noon to Dusk. Festivities will include music, cornhole…

Rockin Jump Ultimate Trampoline Park

Tuesday, September 27, 2016 9:03 AM by VisitMyrtleBeach SC

While the Rockin Jump Ultimate Trampoline Park is a GREAT rainy day activity in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, it’s really perfect for any weather. I stopped by recently with my (younger) friend Bre. She goes a lot, so I figured she would be best to give an official review! Rockin Jump is the area’s first indoor trampoline park and has something for everybody. The park is home to large open jump spaces, a challenge course, a vertical ops wall, dodgeball, a foam pit and more. Bre’s favorite part is the open jump space, but my favorite was the…

The Myrtle Beach area is home to 60 miles of uninterrupted coastline, a ton of fun activities, thousands of restaurants and PLENTY of opportunities for taking perfect photos. Whether you’re an amateur or a pro, using a cell phone or DLSR, here are a handful of our favorite spots for taking photos of the Myrtle Beach area. Conway Riverwalk If you head inland from Myrtle Beach about 15 minutes, you’ll run into Conway, South Carolina, the county seat for Horry County and the home of Conway’s Riverwalk and Riverfront Park. The park is situated on…

Savannah's Playground

Thursday, September 22, 2016 3:33 PM by VisitMyrtleBeach SC

A couple weeks ago, we went to the brand new Savannah’s Playground at the Market Common in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for the park’s grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. To say the gathering was heartwarming is an understatement. It was a perfect morning made up of beautiful weather, beautiful people and a beautiful community coming together to celebrate the realization of a dream long in the works. Savannah’s Playground—a project of Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes, several area legislators, business people and community members—is…

Myrtle Beach Biplane Tours

Tuesday, September 13, 2016 11:07 AM by VisitMyrtleBeach SC

If you’ve visited the Myrtle Beach area recently, you’ve probably noticed the helicopters flying over the ocean, Broadway at the Beach and elsewhere. A couple different operators offer excellent helicopter tours of the area that are extremely popular with visitors (and locals!). When I heard Myrtle Beach Air Tours was now offering biplane tours in addition to helicopter tours, I knew I wanted to check it out. Touring Myrtle Beach from above on a helicopter was such a memorable experience, and I figured a biplane tour would be equally as…

Visit the Shark Wake Park

Tuesday, August 30, 2016 9:45 AM by VisitMyrtleBeach SC

My friend Rachel and I spent an afternoon last week at the new Shark Wake Park in North Myrtle Beach. The park features cable wakeboarding—a pretty new addition to the world of extreme sports—and Shark Wake Park is the first of its kind here along the Grand Strand. At the park, kneeboarders and wakeboarders take hold of a cable that runs around a lake in about a 1.1-mile loop. So there’s no boat! And what you pay is determined by how long you plan on being on the water and whether you need to rent the equipment or not. Now Rachel actually has…

Myrtle Beach Skycoaster

Saturday, August 20, 2016 9:44 AM by VisitMyrtleBeach SC

To be clear, I am not some adrenaline-seeking junkie by nature. I’m a mostly-stay-at-home mom who can’t sleep the night before taking on assignments that include riding the Slingshot—or in this case—the Myrtle Beach SkyCoaster. While it’s easy to find excitement at the Myrtle Beach Grand Prix (and I’m perfectly happy staying on the ground in a racecar), the entertainment park’s most thrilling ride is the high-flying SkyCoaster. The SkyCoaster is basically a free fall ‘swing’ that takes between one and three riders up to a height of around 100…
