The vacation rental website based its findings on the nightly price for properties on its site, and chose the top five destinations where travelers can save the most money on a rental property.
FlipKey's data shows that travelers can save up to 43 percent on a vacation rental property when visiting Myrtle Beach during the months of September, October and November. The shoulder season average is $104 per night compared to $182 during the primary summer season.
"Besides the wealth of world-class attractions, fantastic golf and delicious cuisine, the primary component that makes the Myrtle Beach area such a wonderful family destination is its affordable accommodations," said Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. "We want the wonderful momentum we saw during the summer months to continue on into our fall shoulder season."
