MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - This March, the Myrtle Beach area is celebrating the 53rd Annual Canadian-American Days Festival by welcoming Canadian and American visitors with a lineup of fun events and concerts taking place along the Grand Strand.

From March 8 through March 16, 2014, Can-Am Days attendees can choose from a variety of free events and activities including band concerts, St. Patrick's Day parade and dance and more.

"Can-Am Days is a wonderful celebration of our snowbird visitors from the north, who escape the cold and snow for the moderate climate and wealth of attractions in the Myrtle Beach area," said Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. "A lot of our Canadian guests have been traveling to our destination for decades, and we strive to create new memories for each generation with each festival and event."

Before the fun officially kicks off on March 8, the Canadian Consulate will welcome visitors on March 7 who are in town for this year's Can-Am Days. An information booth will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 1200 N. Oak St., in Myrtle Beach.
