Following the U.S. House of Representatives passing a bill to reauthorize Brand USA, Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, issued the following statement:

“We applaud the House of Representatives for their committed leadership in growing the number of international travelers who visit the U.S.  Brand USA is a valuable public-private partnership that opens many doors worldwide for tourism promoters.  The reauthorization of Brand USA ensures that our nation is well-positioned to capture a share of the growing international tourism market.  Brand USA also allows us to efficiently market our destination in numerous countries both in Europe and the Far East, as well as Canada.  This important national partnership will enable us to grow tourism and create jobs while not costing taxpayers a dime."
