MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King will once again be front and center during the Seventh Annual Freedom Rally held throughout the Myrtle Beach area from Jan. 17 through Jan. 19, 2015.

Events kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, with the start of brown bag working luncheons. Workshops, the Carolina Talent Search competition, an awards banquet and the seventh annual Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Rally Parade are just a few of the other events that will continue throughout this weekend of celebration in the Myrtle Beach area.

"Dr. King's life and his mission continue to be just as important today as it was 50 years ago," said Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. "We are proud to help in honoring that legacy by taking part in this year's Freedom Rally."
