Myrtle Beach, SC, August 14, 2013- The number of passengers arriving into Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) during July 2013 were up 16.15 percent over same period July 2012.

In July 2013, 107,598 passengers arrived into MYR, or 14,964 more than July 2012. Year-to-date the airport has welcomed 497,772 arriving passengers, or 11.38 percent more than same period last year.

"July was the airport's sixth consecutive month of year-over-year passenger growth," said Michael La Pier, Director of Airports. "While passenger volumes were below previous years, it is a step in the right direction for Myrtle Beach International Airport."

  • Delta Air Lines + 4%
  • Spirit Airlines + 28%
  • United Airlines + 9%
  • US Airways + 22%
