Holiday Events Abound in Myrtle Beach Area

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The holidays are here, and with it are a number of events in the Myrtle Beach area sure to get residents and visitors into the yuletide spirit.

Downtown Myrtle Beach comes alive with family-friendly fare throughout the season with its “Holidays on the Boardwalk,” which runs every weekend through Jan. 2, 2016. Arts and crafts, live entertainment in Plyler Park and camel rides will be available.

The area’s many theaters are also getting into the spirit. Enjoy the season with wonderful, holiday themed performances at The Carolina Opry, Legends in Concert, The Palace Theatre, Alabama Theatre, Medieval Times, Pirates Voyage and so many others.

Below is a list of all other Christmas-related events and activities taking place throughout the Grand Strand:

  •        Dec. 1 through Dec. 20 – 14th Annual Toys for Tots Drive – Barefoot Landing
  •        Dec. 1 through Dec. 20 every Thursday through Sunday – A Christmas Carol – Atlantic Stage – 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday
  •        Dec. 1 through Dec. 30 – A Very Fashionable Christmas – Kaminski House Museum – tours are 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily
  •        Dec. 1 through Dec. 31 – Festival of Trees – Ripley’s Aquarium
  •        Dec. 10 through Dec. 12 and Dec. 17 through Dec. 19 – Nights of a Thousand Candles – Brookgreen Gardens – 3 to 10 p.m. daily
  •        Dec. 12 – Conway Christmas Parade – Downtown Conway – 10 a.m.
  •        Dec. 12 – Surfside Beach Christmas Parade – Ocean Boulevard – 2 to 4 p.m.
  •        Dec. 13 – Carolina Master Chorale Presents An Outbreak of Peace – Trinity United Methodist Church – 4 p.m.
  •        Dec. 13 – 12th Annual Christmas Towne – Myrtle Beach Convention Center – 2 to 6:30 p.m.
  •        Dec. 13 – Carolina Master Chorale Presents An Outbreak of Peace – Trinity Church located at 3000 N. Kings Hwy., in Myrtle Beach – 4 p.m.
  •        Dec. 17 – Conway Canine Christmas Costume Contest – Downtown Conway – 7 to 8 p.m.
