Individual media hospitality is determined on a case by case basis and is subject to availability. Many factors go into approving a media hosting request and we ask the journalist provide as much information as possible in order to quickly facilitate their requests.
A FIRM assignment letter will be required in order for a hosting to be considered. We do not approve hostings for media who do not have an assignment and confirmation of producing media coverage of the destination.
We require at least four weeks’ notice if you are traveling September to May in order to coordinate your visit prior to travel dates once we have received all information requested. We require at least six weeks’ notice if you are traveling June to August in order to coordinate your visit during peak season. Please note host accommodations during this period are subject to availability, particularly on weekends.
Upon receiving a completed hosting request form, Fahlgren Mortine will review the request and send their recommendation to the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB. No media hospitality will be secured without the approval of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB. This process can take up to 2-3 weeks.
Please note we have a limited budget to cover airfare, rental car and other ground transportation costs. Providing of these services during a media visit will be determined on a case by case basis.
Unless you are a food/culinary writer or host of a food show, not all meals will be able to be complimentary during your trip. Please refer to www.GrandStrandRestaurants.com to contact an individual restaurant on your own for assistance.
